This is a 100k road relay that has 12 legs ranging from 3 to nearly 8 miles. A full team is 3-6 runners. A four person team is the ideal team size, from the feedback we have from past teams. A six person team is a great way to get into the relay type event and is still challenging. Teams can divide the legs up and run the legs in any order but must change runners at each exchange zone. Ideally, a team would run in order to get as much rest and to refuel before running again. However, there is no rule in place for team running order.
IMPORTANT **** Anyone planning to do this event solo or as an ultra team please contact the race director first for more details. There are cutoffs times that will have to be made during the event.

Sign Up –IMPORTANT
1) A team captain will sign the team up and pay for the whole team. This person will receive all communications from the race director. Make sure to use an email you check. You will need a team name and need to know the average pace of your team. You also need to select the category for your team.
PLEASE SUBMIT ACCURATE TEAM PACE. Team pace is the average 10k pace for all team members. See our website for a worksheet to help.

Open teams are for men or teams with more men than women.
Mixed teams are teams with at least 50% women.
Masters divisions are for teams which all team members are over 40 years old.

2) The race director will email a file in December to get your team members information and to confirm the category and team pace has not changed. Also, each team captain will be responsible for having team members sign a waiver that must be turned in at check-in.

If you drop your team and we can get a team to take your spot, you will be refunded. No Refunds guaranteed after Dec 31st. Half refunds until that day. After Jan. 15th you are on your own finding a replacement.
