Ravenswood Gran Fondo 2021



A new event on the Calendar for 2021, if you wanted a goal for the early part of next year this is it. Be it a personal challenge or even a Christmas present for a loved one to have something to train towards in after the festivities of Christmas and New Year this is a perfect choice. There are limited spots on this event as its fully supported so make sure you register early and claim your spot.

Choose either of two distances: 100 klm or 100 mile (163 klm)

The ride will commence at 8 am on Saturday 20th March 2021 at the Imperial Hotel in Ravenswood, with the first 5 klm being “neutral” and will follow the Burdekin Dam Road with the 100 mile turn around adjacent the Caravan Park at the Dam. The 100 klm ride will traverse the same route with a turnaround clearly annotated at the 50 k mark.

The ride is over gently undulating terrain and riders will be required to safely negotiate 34 cattle grids over the course. The ride route will not be closed to traffic, with all road rules to apply. QPS will be patrolling the road throughout the ride to police behaviors.

Those riding the 100-mile Gran Fondo will be required to have completed the ride by 4 pm whilst those riding the shorter course will need to be off the bike by 1 pm.

A compulsory rider briefing will commence at 7.30 am for all riders.
