***All of Washingtonian's daily activities have been impacted by COVID-19 social distancing restrictions recently. VFW Post 7511 intends to host this event in person, however, our ability to meet physically will be contingent on the county being in the appropriate recovery phase that allows a large crowd. If we are not able to come together for race day we will do this as a virtual event asking racers to run on their own, post photos with the #FlagsForOurFallen hashtag and a Livestream ceremony to kick off the race and honor our Gold Star families.***

Monroe VFW Post 7511 was founded on January 6, 1968. For over 50 years, the post has offered camaraderie, assistance to veterans, legislative advocacy, support for military families and community service including youth-oriented educational activities that promote patriotism. The VFW is a 501(k)(19) nonprofit organization dependent on charitable contributions from members of the public to move forward with its mission. A veteran must have served in a foreign conflict to be eligible for VFW membership.

Be a sponsor: Help us create a successful and sustainable event!! Businesses and organizations donating $500 or more will be included (name and logo) on posters, flyers and other miscellaneous printed materials and will be mentioned on social media.

The deadline for finalizing sponsorship is July 31, 2020.

Businesses are also invited to donate an item or gift card to the event raffle! If you would like to donate an item to the raffle, please include a description of the item or gift card, including its estimated value, in the space below.
