Welcome to the Moreton Bay Paddle hosted by Brisbane Paddling Club.

 

A great race across Moreton Bay catering for a range of craft and designed for all levels of paddler; whether a new paddler seeking to experience an open water race or the experienced paddler looking to build their 'race miles' for the season ahead.

 

Registrations: Each paddler must be registered separately.

 

Race Fees: Single Craft

Before 3 May: $45  After: $55 (Closes 11:59pm 9th May)

 

Race Fees:  Multi-participant craft

Before 3 May: $35  After: $45 (Per participant) (Closes 11:59 9th May)

Individual Classes: SS1/SLSA1/SUP/OC1/SUP-F

Double/Mixed/Multi Classes: SS2/SLSA2/OC2/OC6

 

Age Groups*:

  1. You must be 15 by the event date to compete
  2. Please enter the age group for the age you will be at 31-Dec-2025
  3. Juniors: U16 (15-16), U18 (17-18), U21 (19-21), U23 (22-23)
  4. Seniors: (24-34)
  5. Masters: M35 (35-44), M45 (45-49), M50 (50-54), M55 (55-59)
  6. Veterans: V60 (60-64), V65 (65-69), V70 (70+)
  • Age brackets may be combined based on enteries received.

 

Registrations:

8am - 9am at the start line (Nudgee Beach Boat Ramp)

 

Provisional Start times:

10:00am Wave 1 - SUPs

10:30am Wave 2 - OCs

10:45am Wave 3 - SS, SLSA, & SUP-Fs

 

A BBQ and soft drinks will be available to purchase at the end of the race. Card only. (Bells Beach Park Clontarf)

 

Safety:

By entering you agree to:

  1. An approved Australian Standard AS 4758 or International Standard ISO 12402 lifejacket.
  2. All surf ski and outrigger paddlers must wear an approved minimum Level 50 / Level 50S lifejacket. Your lifejacket must be Hi-Vis or a Hi-Vis top and is to be worn over the top of the lifejacket.  No bum bag inflatable lifejackets are permitted.
  3. SUP and prone paddleboard paddlers only are permitted to wear an approved lifejacket Level 100/150 bum bag inflatable lifejacket. A Hi-Vis top must be worn.
  4. A pealess whistle (which must be attached to the entrant's lifejacket during the race).
  5. All paddlers must have their leash attached when in the water.
  6. All paddlers must carry a mobile phone in a waterproof case, download the Webscorer App and sign in prior to the race with GPS enabled.  Webscorer GPS tracking will up date your position every 30 sec during the race.
  7. Sun protection and carry water and any snacks required for the duration of the event.
