Progressive Racing Group 3rd March

Well what a great night. Amazing racing, tight times and a beautiful evening. With 25 paddlers on the river we are closing up on the 30 mark. Paul was stolen and went in the other group, Sharon was absent, David has elbow problems, Sally is off to Tasmania, Julie was absent and Tom was working. When they all back we should reach the 30 mark.

We had two new paddlers tonight Felicity and Anna which was great to see. It was Sarah and Steve’s second time.

The yellow jersey went to Josh in his K1, although he is too fast now to count him in, so it was Geraint who got the jersey, but he is too experienced, so it must have be Nigel who gets the yellow jersey. But it is Ash who has come a long way in such a short time. A few weeks ago he was just another beginner but his rise to the top has been rapid and now he is certainly getting ready to take the yellow jersey.

Kate and Steph had fantastic races. They left on different grids but were only separated by 1 second so the fight is really on.

It was close racing between Marie and Cameron. Cameron has learnt to wash ride Marie and pass her in the last few hundred metres.

Jeanette and Veronica also had a close race.

Good to see a few of the group taking on the City Lights and thanks to all those who volunteered to do the food with Jane. And Geraint and Izzie for being on the rescue craft. Let me know who did help.
