Good Race 3rd Fastest Time of the day overall. Slowly getting fitter. Started out to hot and blew up but was able to recover. Very rough road sacrificed some aero drag to watch where I was going. Kinda over crashing these days.

First 40k since my crash testing my new TT bike Sept 15 2018. Seven broken ribs, broken collar bone, collapsed lung,torn intercoastal artery, 22days in the Hospital. Got Going again pretty good October 2019 in Utah. Then covid hit no Racing for any of us. This was going to be my big come back year but crashed my fixed gear on the way to work February 12 2021 and broke my femur.... I was looking at past racing about two weeks ago and saw there was a Fiesta Island TT. Time to blow the dust off the BMC and get in there. My goal was to break the Hour. Which I did riding tempo with no training. With some training and good luck I might be up to speed in January 2022.

Race report

Had a good race. Only crashed 3 times and suffered from Dehydration. Had a great start on the road went to the front of the pack and pushed the pace. Looked back and there was nobody on my wheel I thought that's wierd so I increased my speed a little and pulled further away. So as soon as I got to the corner and out of sight. I went into time trail mode and chased the lead car to the start of the dirt which got me on the trail first with 369 rider's way back there I'm guessing a mile maybe more it took along time for the fast guys to catch me. I was able to pace myself thru the 3inch deep dust and ruts with no one on my wheel and hit the first climbs in clean air. I did eventually get caught by 108 rider's by the end of the race. But I never got caught in a huge dust cloud with 360 other Racer's fighting for postions. It totally paid off. Next year I know what to expect.

Dropped chain 5 times 4 times I was able to get it back on with out stopping. I had to stop and put it back on the 5th time. That's what I get for running one chain ring....

First 40k since 2002. First race Since 2012 after accident. Almost missed start . No warm up . Dirt in cleat could not get clipped in. Amateur Hour....
