So I set out to tackle Lord Hill again, but this time I took the turn for the 10 mile run...to late to turn back now. I was determined to get past my mental block of not being able to run these longer distances on the trails. No problem running 10 at home, but unlike at home, I can't just stop whenever I feel the need, you have to keep going until the end. I wasn't going for a great time, just hoping to keep it under 2hrs, which I did. Unfortunately I did have to walk some of the hills after mile 6, but if you saw what we were running, you would to. I felt really good in the end. Ankle was sore, but I didn't roll it this time, which is a good thing, it was just worn out. It is a beautiful course and was an awesome day! I am very proud of myself for taking the RIGHT turn this time and pushing myself beyond the safe zone. Yeah me!!!
