Race report

Felt really good most of the way. Went out too hard first mile. Slowed second mile. Passed someone both times during the uphill singletrack portion that I'm good at running. It was fun to see the other runners during the out and back portion.

Race report

First trail race of the season. Weather was perfect. I tried not to go to hard at the beginning and the strategy worked. Once I had to scale it back, but I also found I could push for a little bit when needing to pass or climb a hill. I pushed up hills, glided through the crests, and powered through the downhills. Was only 32 seconds from podium!

Race report

Hot. Suffered from a little heat exhaustion. Seemed like the course was always climbing and had some ill-timed turns, but overall really. Fun. Joel beat me for the first time, but I beat Cathy for the first time.

Race report

Was just coming off from being sick, so this was my first run since the Carkeek Warmer two weeks ago. Wasn't expecting to run so well. It was a tough run. I am still learning how to optimize my downhill stride. I was sucking wind on the 2nd lap, but was in a good position so I pushed it my 3rd lap by passing a woman on the downhill, (sorry, Kate!) and staying just ahead of the guy behind me, more for ego than anything. :)

Race report

This was the most fun race by far! The weather was cooler than the first two. The course, again, was designed to maximize the flow of downhill vs. uphill.

This one was tough. It was over 80 degrees, but the shade was nice. The hills were killer, but a good time overall!
