Race Day Schedule:
- Check-in: 11.00
- Briefing: 11.45
- Race Start: 12.15 [or ASAP after Briefing]
Race Courses:
Long Course [23km]:
Ascot Kayak Club to Barkers Bridge [West Swan Rd], back round Ron Courtney Island, back up to Barkers Bridge, finish at Ascot Kayak Club.
Short [& SUP] Course [11.5km.]:
Ascot Kayak Club to Barkers Bridge [West Swan Rd], finish at Ascot Kayak Club
Short Short Course [8km]:
To railway bridge and back Guppy Course: Start AKC Jetty, paddle upstream, left round first spit, back down round top of island, back up.
Junior Course:
U14/U12 3 laps plus up to spit and back. U10s 2 laps plus up to spit and back.
All races finish with paddlers coming from upstream & through finish line at jetty
Race Preparation:
Number on Boat: Ensure vertical & readable both sides. Number slots with suckers on sale $15 River
Hazards:
Boat traffic: oncoming boats at Fish Market Reserve: floating boom around right pylons at Barkers Bridge: sun & heat - protective clothing, sun block & water to drink
Registration Notes:
Paddle Australia Number:
Put "PA" ahead of it and, if it is not 6 digits, add zeros to the front end, E.G. "PA002343"
