2024 PV Marathon Mid-Winter Doubles Races, Geelong Canoe Club, Marnock Road, Newtown. 
 
Make sure you have renewed your PA membership for the FY24 year before registering
 
Check-in: 8:30 am to 9:00 am. Briefing 9:30 am. Racing starts 10:00 am. 
 
This is a designated doubles event. Single racers are welcome. Each paddler must register. 
 
You may choose the distance you wish to paddle. However, please do not choose the longest distance unless you can paddle at greater than 11 km/hr over that distance.
 
The race comprises multiple 4 km laps, with a final short lap of 1 km, with portage for Divisions 1 to 4 (Div 1-4 crews in ICF boats with paddlers over the age of 65 do not need to portage.  Div 1-4 crews not portaging will incur a 50 sec time adjustment for each portage not undertaken).  
 
Wearing of an approved Life Jacket / PFD (personal flotation device) is mandatory for this event.
 
COVID-19
  • Do not attend if you have symptoms, are unwell or have been instructed to isolate or quarantine. 
  • Maintain at least 1.5m physical distance between others at all times. 
  • Observe face covering, cough etiquette and personal hygiene measures.
