Philosophy:
No matter your age, you can participate and enjoy the atmosphere at the Moonshadow Run, so lace up your shoes and join us in getting active and outside! The run will be sponsoring KidSport: a local charity that helps youth to overcome financial barriers to becoming more active. There will be many door prizes as well as a post-race festival with free entertainment and food for purchase. This is not a chip timed event but we will have a large timing clock so you can still make note of your time.
T-shirts
We are excited to offer shirts. Our event shirt deadline is on September 5th, 2017. Register early to get your shirt!
Location:
The Start/Finish is located just North of the Community Hall, in Pincher Creek. At 287 Canyon Dr.
Course Description:
The majority of this run consists of gentle rolling shale trails along the creek. These trails are 2 person wide in most places. There are a few short paved sections but any running on the road is kept to a minimum.
-Two Water Stations Total
-No pets, bikes, strollers, rollerblades, or skateboards on the running course.
-Headlamps / flashlights required for the 10 km run
Runners Etiquette
Communication is important on the trails. If you are running fast enough to pass a runner in front of you say “on your left” to make the other runner aware. Pass the runner on their left when it is safe to do so. If you running and happen to hear someone behind you yell “on your left” move toward the right hand side of the trail when it is safe to do so. Up hill runners should yeild to downhill runners. Remember that this is a fun run. Participants of all speeds are welcome and encouraged to come on out for this Harvest Full Moon Run.
