The Pokosha 50 follows a mix of old logging road, active logging road, and newly built single track on an adventure from Sechelt on the Sunshine Coast, to the historical Ashlu Mine. The course is remote, and in places highly technical and steep - it is not always runnable! However, alongside the challenges, you will be treated to some of the most beautiful views enjoyed by any race in British Columbia.

Due to the remoteness and difficulty of evacuation, along with the distance between aid stations, this is a graduate level race. You are required to have completed at least one mountain 50 mile race (significant technical running and a minimum of 3,000m of ascent), or are able to demonstrate comparable experience to the organizer's satisfaction.

This is PRE-REGISTRATION for the race. If your experience is deemed sufficient, pre-registrants will be offered the opportunity to register for the race when registration opens, at a discount to the rack rate in order of pre-registration. Once offered, you will have 72 hours to register, after which your spot will be offered to the next person in order. If not all qualified pre-registrants can be accommodated, the remainder will form a waitlist. If there at race slots available after all pre-registrants have had the opportunity to register, the remaining slots will be offered openly.

If registration does not open, for any reason, pre-registrants may ask for their fees to be refunded at any time up to August 28, 2017, or leave them as donations to SORCA.
