Bringing Together the Weak, Strong and the Thirsty...



The annual COSMIC and SIA (Snow Sports Industries America) event is at Copper Mt. For 2017, Jan 30th you can plan on a Monday afternoon start, short and fast format with the COSMIC winner finishing in around an hour. The SIA Uphill/Downhill United States Ski Mountaineering World Team fundraiser will continue in a teams format with a shorter course. Entry fee donations received for both events go to the United States Ski Mountaineering World Team.



– The SIA Uphill Downhill Challenge is one climb, one descent. COSTUMES REQUIRED!

TEAMS OF 3 PEOPLE!

This is a fundraiser event only open to SIA show attendees that form teams. (IMPORTANT NOTE: if you are an experienced skimo racer you are not allowed to “sandbag” and race in the SIA event! You belong in the COSMIC race, and you’ll want to race longer anyway.)

– The COSMIC race(individual) is two climbs, two descents. The COSMIC race is open to all participants. All racers start together at noon(12pm). A $20 entry fee DONATION is requested – all donations received go to the United States Ski Mountaineering World Team.
