Bridges OC6 Race - 2026

30th Anniversary - Bridges OC6 Races - Sat. Oct. 3, 2026

• Registration closes Sept. 25th, or when the race grid is full - whichever comes first!
• A waitlist will be started for late registrants.

Distance and Format:

• 5 km race up and down Victoria's Gorge Waterway.
• Nine heats with seven teams per heat in spec canoes.
• Gender and mixed crews run separately allowing paddlers to race in multiple divisions. 

Race grid:

• The race grid will be sent out to the person who registered your team, the week of Sept. 28.
• Pls be on site at least one hour before your scheduled race time.

Race Location:

• Latitude 48 docks (accessed from a gate at the end of Herald street behind value village). This map shows race site and parking in the area.

Race Rules: 

• CORA Distance Race Rules apply. Sterns familiarize with who has right of way during the buoy turn.  See pages 13/14.

Equipment:

• Canoes - Spec canoes for the OC6 race are provided.
• PFDs: All paddlers should bring their own Canadian Coast Guard Certified PFD. Waist-belt PFDs must be worn.
• Paddles:  All paddlers should bring their own paddles.

CORA Membership & Race Waiver: 

• All racers need to be CORA members. Either an annual or single event CORA membership can be purchased from the CORA web site
• For single event memberships, ensure you choose the correct event (Bridges (Oct 3., 2026)).
• All team members must also complete online waiver before race day.

Cancellations:

• There is a $10 processing fee for cancelling a registered team to cover the cost of administration.

Don't forget to register for the INNY and OUTTY (or both!) small boat races being held Sunday, Oct. 4.
