Lochiel Trailers Clutha Classic 2027

LOCHIEL TRAILERS CLUTHA CLASSIC 2027 - NEW COURSE; LAKE TO LAKE

Sunday 10th January. 

This legendary race is a popular hit out before the Kathmandu Coast to Coast, the Clutha Lake to Lake is 55km long. Competitors start in waves from Lake Wanaka Outlet, paddling the Clutha down through Albert Town, Luggate, passed the much anticipated Devil's Elbow and down to Bendigo Freedom Camping Area at the head of Lake Dunstan. 

Registration 7:30am - 8:30am

Compulsory Gear list

Kayak helmet, PFD & whistle, 20 litres in boat (air bags or foam) or sealed hatches, repair kit (duct tape minimum).In a dry bag: polypro top and bottom, hat & gloves wool or polypro, windproof jacket or paddle jacket worn or stored, survival bag

(BEWARE, DIDYMO IS PRESENT ON THE CLUTHA RIVER, PLEASE WASH/DRY YOUR BOAT BEFORE CHANGING WATERWAYS)

A kayak Grade 2 certificate of proficiency or proof of recently competing in Coast to Coast or Clutha Classic is required for anyone entering in either race.
