2022 Ben Ward Metro Race, Footscray Canoe Club, Farnsworth Ave, Footscray.

Check-in: 8:00 am to 9:00 am sharp. Briefing 9:30 am. Racing starts 10:00 am.

Full distance and relay options in most divisions. All paddlers must register.

You may choose the distance you wish to paddle. However, please do not choose the longest distance unless you can paddle at greater than 11.5 km/hr over that distance.

Ben Ward Junior K1 Race - Open to all U18 K1 paddlers completing 18km. Winner to be awarded Ben Ward Junior K1 perpetual trophy. Register in Division 3.

Div 1, 2 - Singles and doubles do 24 km, relay does 24 km (4*6km legs)
Div 3 - Ben Ward Junior K1 Race
Div 4 - Singles and doubles do 18 km, relay does 18 km (3*6km legs)
Div 5, 6 - Singles and doubles do 12 km, relay does 12 km (2*6km legs)
Div 8, 9 - Singles and doubles do 6 km, relay does 12 km (4*3km legs - 2 boats per team. Crew 1 paddles lap 1&3, crew 2 paddles lap 2&4).
Div 10 - Singles and doubles do 3 km, relay does 6 km (2*3km legs)

No portage.

Wearing of an approved Life Jacket / PFD (personal flotation device) is mandatory for this event.
