Bridges is a fast paced 5km race on the Gorge water way in Victoria. Heats will run throughout the day with divisions for novices, men, women, mixed and junior crews. Since gender and mixed crews run separately allowing paddlers to race in multiple divisions.

Sunday is the small boat Inny Race (short course, protected waters) followed by the Outty (long course) Race. Half the proceeds of the small boat race are donated to the Victoria Native Friendship Center.

A waiver signed by all team members must be e-mailed to latitude48races@gmail.com in advance of race day.The waiver will be emailed to you along with a information package once you have complete this registration.

All racers need to be CORA members. Either an annual or single event CORA membership can be purchased from the CORA web site at https://canadianoutrigger.ca/store/become-a-member/. For single event memberships, ensure you choose the correct event (Bridges 2022).

Canoes: Canoes are provided, just bring your crew, paddles and pfd! PFDs must be Canadian Coast Guard Certified.

Race Location: Latitude 48 docks (accessed from a gate at the end of Herald street behind value village).
Please Note: There is a $10 processing fee for cancelling a registered team to cover the cost of administration.
