Fun Bunny Run! Join us for a morning of fun at 9:00 AM on
April 9th as we hop into Easter and raise funds for Diabetes
Education through the Smithville Lions Club. Participants of
all ages are welcome to walk, run, or jog through historic
Smithville, TX!
Bib pick-up begins at 8:00am AND at 8:40 we are honored to have CAMP GLADIATOR with us to help get everyone warmed-up and pumped-up for the race! The event will begin and end at the First Presbyterian
Church in Smithville - 300 Burleson St, Smithville, TX 78957,
where you can join us for light snacks after the race!

Hello Fun Bunny Runners (and Walkers and Hoppers)!

We are excited about our upcoming event and are looking forward to seeing everyone!

Here are a few more details. Our dear church does not have a parking lot, so there is parking on the surrounding streets as well as a parking lot located at First Baptist on Hudgins St (located right behind our church).

Here is the schedule for the event:

8:00 am Check-In Begins (we originally had this at 8:15, but moved it up a bit)
8:40 am Warm-Up with Camp Gladiator
9:00 am Race Begins
9-12:00 pm Run, walk, or hop 😁 the 5K.

The race will be throughout the neighborhood. There will be signs pointing in the direction to turn as well as arrows on the street. A water station will be located about halfway through the race.

As racers finish up, we will hand out medals for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places, as well as enjoy some snacks. There will be a couple of books for sale - Taste of Heaven II (our church cookbook) and The Bleed of Heaven (a book written by our very own pastor). Camp Gladiator will be there to share information about their program. And, we have some lovely Diabetes education material available.
