The series

Plain Valley Ski Trails is presenting its 2nd annual Tour de Plain 5-stage race series. The series will offer different courses for both beginners and for those after some speed. Racers’ standings from individual races are tallied up after all stages and the final rankings of the season are assigned based on each skier's three best races. The races are as follows:

TDP #1 - Complete
TDP #2 - Complete
TDP #3 - 2/20/22 through 2/22/22 - (Sunday - Tue) Freestyle technique (skate or classic) 15 km
TDP #4 - 2/26/22 through 2/28/22 - Classic technique ONLY (diagonal stride)
TDP #5 - 3/5/22 through 3/7/22 - Freestyle technique (skate or classic)

You can race any race multiple times to improve your time if you want.

Race #3: 15 KM Freestyle (skate or classic)

Find the course map here. QR code checkpoints will be at Start, Turn Around Point, and Finish. The course starts at the Clear Creek Trailhead at Thousand Trails. It follows the Beaver Creek Trail directly to Mt. Springs Lodge just before the hitching post/horse barn. Then it returns to Clear Creek Trailhead. No loop at the finish, just the most direct route to the finish QR code.

Registration

$20 (Note: trail passes are required and can be purchased here.) PVST is a 501c3 non-profit and funds raised go to the youth ski team to help with equipment expenses.

Self-timing

Timing will be managed by each racer’s smart phone with Webscorer Race Timer app scanning QR codes at Start, Checkpoint #1 (turn around point), and Finish. The QR codes are marked visibly and scanning can be done without internet connection. Timing instructions will be sent to each racer in their confirmation email.
