The series

Plain Valley Ski Trails is presenting its 2nd annual Tour de Plain 5-stage race series. The series will offer different courses for both beginners and for those after some speed. Racers’ standings from individual races are tallied up after all stages and the final rankings of the season are assigned based on each skier's three best races. The races are as follows:

TDP #1 - Complete
TDP #2 - 2/12/22 through 2/14/22 - Classic technique ONLY (diagonal stride)
TDP #3 - 2/20/22 through 2/22/22 - Freestyle technique (skate or classic)
TDP #4 - 2/26/22 through 2/28/22 - Classic technique ONLY (diagonal stride)
TDP #5 - 3/5/22 through 3/7/22 - Freestyle technique (skate or classic)

You can race any race multiple times to improve your time if you want.

Race #2: 7 KM Classic ONLY (diagonal stride)

Find the course map here. The course combines the Sprint Loop with the Meadow Loop to create a 3.4km loop that you will ski twice. QR code checkpoints will be at Start, Lap, and Finish.

Registration

$20 (Note: trail passes are required and can be purchased here.) PVST is a 501c3 non-profit and funds raised go to the youth ski team to help with summer camp expenses.

Self-timing

Timing will be managed by each racer’s smart phone with Webscorer Race Timer app scanning QR codes at Start, Checkpoint #1 (1st lap complete), and Finish. The QR codes are marked visibly and scanning can be done without internet connection. Timing instructions will be sent to each racer in their confirmation email.
