Welcome to Regatta #1 of the 2021/2022 Live Lighter Paddle WA Sprint Series
This is a Sprint and LDR Regatta for Ski (composite), Sprint Kayak/Kayak, Long Plastic (ski/kayak) Canoe, OC1, V1/Va'a



Champion Lakes Regatta Centre Sunday 1st August 2021 First Race: 10.30am
Held in conjunction with the Avon Descent Scrutineering

Late entry fee now applies

There is a $250 Cash prize on offer from the Avon Descent: Random draw on entries, but you MUST be present to collect.

This is a great way to try sprint lane racing on an Olympic-class regatta course. All paddlers and boat-types welcome!

RACE CATEGORIES: Any single boat:
Sprint K1/Kayak, C1, Ski-Composite, Ski & Kayak-long plastic, OC1, V1/Va'a,
Composite and Plastic gridded separately

1000m, 500m, 200m and 4km Long Distance Race (LDR)
Guppy K1 500m, 200, 100m

Each category of boat will race in a separate division
Gridding will be by boat-type for lane racing over1000/500/200m
Athletes/boats are seeded and gridded in sets of 8 for lane racing at each distance
Each grid starts ~5 minutes apart within each distance. There are 6-10 grids per distance
Start times are set to allow warm down/recovery and 45-60 minutes between the athlete's races
4km LDR will be a mass start and the last race

RACE-DAY SCHEDULE
First Race: 10.30am, finish approx 2.30pm
Briefing notes will be emailed out. No check-in, just collect number on the day

ENTRY FEES
U10, U12, U14 $20.05
U16, U18, Open, Masters $30.05

Late entries close midnight Thursday 29th July at additional $5 (corrected fee) late entry fee

Life Jackets are compulsory for ALL U14's.
