Something new and different, we invite you to join us for an evening sunset run along the Carbon River and the Foothills trail. Join us in Orting at the shelter near the Skate park for your choice of a 5k, 10k or half marathon and grab firefly inspired medal when you are done.

We will use rolling waves of runner, limiting waves of about 10 persons, and asking that runners use these time frames to arrive/start their race:

6:00-6:30pm Half Marathon
6:30-6:45pm 10k
6:45-7:00pm 5k

Due to safety concerns for an evening run, and time constraints, we are unable to offer a marathon distance for this event.

Waves will start as soon as we have 3-10 runners ready to go within that timeframe, we will launch a small wave, but we will buffer the waves by several minutes to comply with covid safety requirements. It you are participating in the half marathon and require more than 3 hours, contact us for early start options. Water on course for 10k and half marathoners. We will also have a roving support person on bicycle to provide assistance if necessary. We have selected a starting time that should allow all runners to complete their course before the sun fully sets, but encourage bringing a small flashlight if you feel you may need it at dusk.
