Ballard Elks Paddle Club Summer Race Series


Race entry donation proceeds go to the Ballard Elks Vocational Scholarship Fund. You're helping deserving young people pursue a career in the trades. Thank you!

Donation: $10 (or $5 with BEPC membership discount) payable via PayPal to: bepc827@harryo.com
If you cannot pay online, we can accept cash or check made out to ‘Ballard Elks’ but contactless payment is preferred. In-person donation collection starts 6:15pm - look for volunteers near the entrance to the beach.

Race details


The Mandatory Skippers Meeting will be at 6:00pm in the parking lot. Race starts at 7:00pm

All paddlers must have a PFD and leash.

5 kilometer race course open to paddlers of all skill levels. Course varies according to conditions.

COVID19 Precautions and Guidelines


Staging – Upon Arrival to Elks
• You can use the Elks parking lot, but maintain physical distancing.
• Masks are required.
• We will assign heats in the parking lot

Beach Entrance
• Maintain physical distancing, wear your mask.
• Please enter in a metered one-by-one fashion onto the beach.
• Do not loiter, enter the water and maintain distance.
• Once on the water, you may remove your mask.

Racing
• Ahead of start, line up outside pilings as directed with physical distancing.
• You may draft, though be mindful of physical distancing.
• When passing, maintain mandated physical distancing.
• At finish, you may stay on the water as long as physical distancing is maintained.
• If you choose to return to the parking lot, do so in a metered fashion with masks on.

Parking and Questions


Park in Elks southern parking lot rows, overflow parking should go to the east section of the lot. Do not unload in fire parking zone by the beach entrance. Please respect physical distance guidelines and wear your mask.
