This is the new race date for 2021. Anyone already entered for the 2020 race will have their entry transferred to this one ,so no need to re-enter .A race in & around Colwyn Bay (Porth Eirias) of approximately 16km for surfskis ,OC1, Sea kayaks & a shorter course of approximately 8.5 km for SUP paddlers.
Hosted by Colwyn Canoe Club & Conwy Council supported by, Canoe Wales, Surf Life Saving Wales & Colwyn Bay Jetski Club, Think Kayaks Europe, Stellar Surfskis & Kayaks, Epic Kayaks, Carbonology Sport UK & Icon EU.
Registration & number collection in the main complex building from 09:15 -10:45,Participants must show membership of their home governing body ie: British Canoeing, Canoe Wales, CANI or SCA, or purchase a day ticket at a cost of £5 to Canoe Wales in order to be insured for this event. Race briefing @11:30, Race start @ noon. All competitors must have the following MANDATORY equipment to be able to partake in the event.
PFD/Bouyancy aid
Leg leash
Communication device,(VHF and/or Mobile phone in waterproof case)
Whistle
At registration will be previous results, route maps, expected weather conditions & the safety cover phone number & VHF frequency being used by safety crews.
Changing facilities including lockers & showers are available at the complex along with the Bryn Williams café that will be open from 09:30 onwards & throughout the day & even for a celebratory drink afterwards if the mood takes you?
