Route 66 Inline Challenge
September 28 & 29, 2019

WELCOME - Gateway Inline Speed Team is hosting the 10th annual Route 66 Inline Challenge on Saturday 9/28/19 and Sunday 9/29/19. The race is open to skaters of all ages and abilities, Quad or Inline. Hard to believe we are in our 10th year of this event that started as a team BBQ and fun roll so many years ago. Thanks to all of the skaters who have attended years past and supported this event. In our 10th year we are expanding to a 2 day event with practice and relays on Saturday, and the distance races on Sunday morning.

THE COURSE - Skaters will race on a 1.9 mile closed loop course that is fairly flat with several turns on the back side and a 3/4 mile straight on the front side.

ENTRY FEE: $50 (Includes all races, relay and distance, as well a 2 meals, Saturday evening, and Sunday Lunch)

REGISTRATION – Please RSVP to the Facebook event page if you are planning to attend, we will have registration in the morning before the race, and plan to launch pre-registration online in the next few weeks.

CASH PRIZES – We will be paying out CASH prizes in addition to our regular trophy and medal awards. More to come as we approach the date. The payouts will be based on registration and attendance, so bring all your friends, and the pot will grow bigger!

CHIP TIMING – Finally! Yes, we will have chip timing this year. This is a brand new system that we just purchased, so we will be backing up the placement and timing with the manual process we have used for the last 9 years.

Saturday
2:00pm – 5:00pm Registration Practice/Free roll on course
5:00pm – Primary/Juvenile Relay (3 skater teams, 3 laps)
5:30pm – WC/Master/Veteran Relays (3 skater teams, 6 laps)
6:30pm – Dinner (At the course, FREE to all racers and spectators)
Sunday
8:00am: Registration and Warm-up
9:00am: Juvenile 10K & Primary 3K
9:30am: Full & Half Marathon
11:30am: Lunch & AWARDS (At the course, FREE to all racers and spectators
