Event notes
Test your mettle in the highest ski race in North America! This ski race takes you high into the Mosquito Range east of Leadville! The course includes groomed mining roads, alpine skin tracks and the summit of centennial 13'er Dyer Mountain at 13,855'. Maybe you've raced in Leadville in the summer? Now it's time to see what winter has to offer.

This is an unsupported TEAM race. $200 per team. Spaces are limited. There will be a mandatory check-in and pre-race safety meeting on the evening of April 5, 2019.

This is a community driven event put together with the help of many individuals and businesses. Proceeds from the race go to support Lake County Search and Rescue, as well as local grooming efforts, both of which are an integral part of winter recreation in Leadville.

FOR MORE INFORMATION visit our
website or our Facebook page. Information and regular updates will be posted there as well as critical items like the MANDATORY GEAR LIST and course maps.

**New team classification: "Fat and Baggy". This category is for teams where both members are on skis wider than 85mm underfoot and who choose not to wear any performance-enhancing outerwear (i.e. spandex, lycra, speed suits, etc.). While teams may self-identify upon registration, an equipment check will be conducted upon finishing. The race director will have final authority regarding qualifications. In its inaugural year, the class will not be gender-specific.
