CV Marathon "Ready to Race" Skills Clinic for Canoes, Footscray Canoe Club.

This clinic is for canoe (single blade) paddlers of all ages and will be led by Steve Vegh, with assistance from other experienced paddlers.

The clinic is being held on the afternoon of the Salty Single Blader race at Footscray. The clinic will start at 2:00 pm sharp and finish at 5:00 pm.

Please bring your own canoe, paddle, PFD and sufficient changes of clothes.

Wearing of an approved PFD (personal flotation device) is mandatory for all on-water sessions.

The structure of the clinic will be as follows:
1) 45 min off water theory session: boat set up, paddling technique, improving boat speed, strength & endurance, Q&A,
2) 60 min on water practical session (split into groups based on experience): applying theory, starts and turns, wash-riding.
3) 45 min off water review & theory session, Q&A.
