Event notes

Venue: Village Cafe, 6 Kitchener Street, Martinborough. Meet here to register, collect numbers, timing tag and get your briefing. Registrations are open between 8:30-9:30am.

Event date and time: Saturday 24 February, 10:00am Gran Fondo start, 10:10am Medio Fondo start.

There are two ride distances, and you are free to choose:

Gran Fondo: 122km
The event begins with a neutral roll out from Ohio St behind the Village Cafe. Racing will start once riders are on Jellicoe Street. Follow the course south west along Lake Ferry Road.

Midway between the 30 and 31km markers, turn left on to Cape Palliser Road and follow it passed the Patangirua Pinnacles, and on to the turnaround point in the township of Ngawi.

Ride back to the way you came, turning right on to Lake Ferry Road, just after the 92km marker.

The event finish line is on Jellicoe Street, approximately 200m before Ferry Road (where the first houses are).

Medio Fondo: 65km
The ride begins with a neutral roll out from Ohio St behind the Village Cafe. Racing will start once riders are on Jellicoe Street. Follow the course south west along Lake Ferry Road.

The turnaround is at the top of the small rise after the left turn to Ngawi. Ride back to the way you came, turning right on to Lake Ferry Road, midway between the 49th and 50km markers.

The event finish line is on Jellicoe Street, approximately 200m before Ferry Road (where the first houses are).

Entry: Online entry is preferred as it helps us enormously, but you can also enter on the day also for extra $30.
