Event notes
The Peak 2 Powderkeg is an iconic four stage adventure race from the top of Turoa Ski Area to the Powderkeg bar at the foot of Mt Ruapehu. Participants can enter as an individual or team of three to complete the stages:

- Ski from top to bottom of the ski area
- 3.8km downhill run on the sealed Ohakune Mountain Road
- 12.5km downhill bike on sealed road, followed by short 300m dash run and beer/lemonade skull.

The event is followed by a barbecue and prize giving at the Powderkeg, which is included in the event entry fee for all entrants. Additional tickets can be bought for supporters and friends.
