To take part in the Christies Beach OWS 2026 you need to be at least 18 years of age on Monday, March 9, 2026.
NOTE: NO ON THE DAY REGISTRATIONS. ONLINE REGISTRATIONS CLOSE SATURDAY MARCH 7TH, 2026 @ 23:59
What you need to know:
The course will be setup in front of the Christies Beach Surf Life Saving Club.
There will be a single race distance only: 1500m.
Swimmers will be required to swim 1-lap of the 1500m course in a clockwise direction.
This will be an in water finish as close to the waters edge as possible.
Water cover will be provided by the great folks at the Christies Beach Surf Life Saving Club
*Note: course may change depending on weather conditions in consultation with CB SLSC
On the day check-in will be on the lawn in front of CB SLSC.
** For insurance purposes, you must have already renewed and paid your season 2026 Masters Swimming club membership to register as a Masters Swimming Australia member. If you have not, please register as a non-member**
1500m Race
Cost: $35 for Masters Swimming Australia members and $40 for non-members
Check-in from 08:00 am
Check-in closes 09:30 am sharp
Race briefing: 09:45 am - Attendance is mandatory
Race Start: 10:00 am
No payment will be required during online registration.
Instead,Card Payment must be done on the day during pre-race registations.
NO CASH, EFTPOS ONLY
The 1500m course will close 1 hour from the Race Start, any swimmers still on the course will be asked to leave via the most direct route to the beach and their result will be listed as DNF.
Presentations: Christies Beach Surf Life Saving Club.
Cancellation Policy: Noarlunga Masters will be consulting with Surf Lifesavers. If conditions on the day are deemed to be unsafe, we will make the decision to cancel the event prior to pre-race checkin.
Refund policy: Payment is only required on the day, and only if the event goes ahead.
