Race notes
Difficult day for the field with many experienced swimmers unable to finish.
33 people started the swim - 11 finishers and 22 DNF (3 due to time limitations - not due to health concerns).

Water temp at start was 62F then varied throughout the race between 64F and 68F. Wind was flat at start but by 11 am picked up to steady 10-15 mph with 18 mph gusts. Wind settled down considerably as late afternoon approached.
