Race notes
A rainy, windy, chilly evening kept all but five hardy souls away. Perennial stalwarts Jason Hare, Patrick Burnham and Mike Gill were joined by youth riders Aiden and Abigail Hare who started off first and second. No-one warmed up, except in their vehicles and most were shivering on the line.
Patrick posted the best time of the evening, twiddling his fixed gear and caught minute man Mike just before the line. Aiden was last to finish, showing an uncharacteristic burst of speed up the final hill. Volunteer extraordinaire, John Hannon, did the turn marshalling chores but there were no vehicles to deal with. BTW, a cougar and a black bear were observed not far from the finish.
