Race notes
First wave off just before 10 a.m. Extra cold (-60F) due to release of water from dam - yet perhaps a slight push. A bit of wind in specific canyons both helping and hurting swimmers progress. Water warmed up some but 10 DNF's reflected the chilly conditions those first couple of miles.
