We just posted a new video that demonstrates how to use 2 devices to time a race:
- 1st device records just the time stamps
- 2nd device records just the bib numbers
- The 2 devices sync the timing data over a Bluetooth or an internet connection
This timing mode is useful when the race finish is too busy for one person to record both time stamps and bib numbers.  With a well-organized "finish chute" where racers are stopped to record their bib numbers, this feature helps manual timing to scale to bigger events, only limited by the 1st device operator's ability to tap the right number of time stamps as racers cross the finish line.
The biggest 5k running race we've seen timed with the bib sync feature had 468 racers:
