Event notes
The goal of this clinic is to introduce kids to the exciting sport of triathlon and learn specific skills in a safe & fun environment. It is our goal that our local youth will enjoy this developing sport and seek further opportunities to participate in triathlon events.

During this clinic, participants will learn essential skills for each discipline in triathlon. At the conclusion of the clinic, kids will get to participate in a short/mock triathlon.

Date & Location


The clinic will be hosted at Heritage subdivision in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. It will be fully sanctioned and insured by USA Triathlon.

Saturday, June 7th- 8:00-12:00

Ages


Kids between the ages of 8-15 are welcome. We will split into age specific groups & swim abilities and rotate through stations. Stations will teach specific skill sets for swimming, biking, running, and transitions.

*It is highly recommended that participants have moderate swim ability and be able to complete the following distances in a pool: 75 yards (younger than 12) and 150 yards (12 & up). Please contact Denise @ 601-336-7807 for questions concerning youth swimming.

The clinic will be limited to 50 participants.

Instructors


This is a Team HAMR (Hattiesburg Area Multisport Racing) event and will be instructed by experienced & enthusiastic local triathletes. Each station will have 1-2 instructors. Additional volunteers will be available on site. We will have lifeguards and CPR certified persons available for safety.

Cancellation Policy


In the event of inclement weather, participants will receive athlete goodie bags & be reimbursed for 50% of the registration.
