Vesa Suomalainen
CEO

Witnessing the difficulty of providing timings and posting results in cross-country skiing and biking races he participates in, Mr Suomalainen saw an opportunity to help both organizers and racers alike with a simple tool to replace the pen & paper method still in use at most recreational races today. Vesa's background includes a 12-year career at Microsoft Corp where he founded the Microsoft Host Integration Server product unit and lead its rise to a $100M/year business as General Manager. Most recently he spent 4.5 years as the CTO of the ad-supported music downloading site SpiralFrog. A native of Finland, Vesa holds a B.S. in Computer Engineering from University of New Mexico, attended on a cross-country skiing scholarship.

Jim Borth
VP, Design

Recognizing the critical importance of top-quality design & graphics for both the iPhone application and the company's web site, the company was pleased to welcome Mr. Borth as one of its founding members. Jim has played a key design role at several popular sites, including Maxim.com, Brides.com and SpiralFrog.com. On his spare time, he enjoys hiking, skiing and golf. Born in Connecticut, Jim earned his B.A. degree in Graphic Design from Virginia Tech.

Brad Kirkpatrick
VP, Information Technology

An early fan of the iPhone, Brad provided the spark that helped form Webscorer. An avid sportsman, Brad plays softball and hockey and races mountain bikes and saw an obvious need to improve score keeping for all his sports. Brad is a 13-year veteran of Microsoft Corp. where he's worked on all versions of Windows dating back to Windows 95. He also spent 3 years at SpiralFrog, designed and operated a data center capable of handling up to 30 million monthly visitors. Hailing from Alaska, Brad holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks.

Antero Koskinen
VP, App Development

With a passion for quality software done properly from the start, Mr Koskinen was eager to join Webscorer from day one. Antero spent 13 years at Microsoft Corp. as a senior developer in the Microsoft Host Integration Server and Visual Studio development teams. After leaving Microsoft, he joined SpiralFrog as the chief architect and lead the development of the 280,000 lines of code for the site over 4.5 years. A native of Finland, Antero holds a M.S. in Computer Science from the Helsinki University of Technology.

Henry Rawas
VP, Web Development

With a belief that software should perform well in addition to being engaging and easy to use, Mr. Rawas was thrilled at the opportunity to join the Webscorer team. Henry spent the previous 15 years at Microsoft where he worked on the Host Integration Server and several versions of Windows. On his days off, Henry enjoys playing tennis, cycling, and relaxing with his family. Henry grew up in Canada and has a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo.

Keith Logan
Director

Like the rest of the Webscorer team, Keith brings a passion for excellence and innovation in software. Keith's spent over ten years at Microsoft, primarily in the Windows NT Program Management team. He also led the first Small Business Server team from inception to product release. Before joining Microsoft, Keith wrote communications software for Bell-Northern Research and Eicon Technology. Keith attended the University of Waterloo and has a Bachelor of Mathematics in Computer Science. Keith enjoys electric cars, cycling, and spending time with his family. Currently Keith is the CEO of a software startup, Five Leaf Group.

Juha Niemisto
Director

Juha Niemisto is a 20 year veteran of Microsoft where he was a lead developer of Excel from version 2 through 2010. In his native country, Finland, he worked for the Innovation Fund SITRA and co-founded Kielikone Oy, a company that develops natural language software. For sports, Juha enjoys sailing, including the occasional competitive regatta. Juha holds a M.Sc. degree in Computer Science from Helsinki University of Technology.
