Once again a reminder to all entrants in this years SSS that it will be a water edge start so practice is important to ensure you find a efficient way to secure your ski leash in the process.
SUNSET SURFSKI SERIES EVENT RULES
All competitors must abide by the following rules:
All paddlers must wear type 2 or type 3 PFD’s (lifejackets). No bum bag style PFD’s are permitted.
All paddlers must be attached to their craft via a leg leash.
All paddlers must attend the pre-event briefing held 10 minutes before the start.
All paddlers must assist other competitors in difficulty.
All paddlers to remain inside 400 metres from shore.
SURF CLUB SPEC SKI POINTSCORE
You must be paddling a spec ski to earn points in the races.
Each paddler who finishes on a spec ski in any age group will earn two points for their Surf club.
Also the top five paddlers in the Spec Ski open male, open female, U/19 male and U/19 female will earn the following points for their Surf Club in all of these divisions.
5 points for 1st
4 points for 2nd
3 points for 3rd
2 points for 4th
1 point for 5th
Please note: A minimum of 5 race entrants per category is required to earn points in that category. (Except for the two points for participation)
All points for all three races will be combined to declare the club winner of the Fenn spec ski.
