Run the Beech
is a running/walking race series on Beech Mountain that has the goal of offering an outdoor activity that is affordable and for all abilities. This series consists of 4 races from June 28 – July 26 that will highlight the unique terrain that Beech has to offer. All races are on Friday evening, starting at 6pm. Each race will be at a different location within Beech Mountain town limits and will offer a short course (1-2 miles) and a long course (3-4 miles). Sign up for all of them for $50 or join us for one for $15! You will receive a t-shirt when you sign up for all 4, or purchase one for $10. T-shirt size only guaranteed to those who pre-register for the entire series by June 1. Food and drink included at every course with every race registration. Courses are not stroller friendly.
Features:
Timed Event: Timed by Recreation Staff and amazing professional volunteers.
Raffle: All preregistered racers will be included in a raffle of COOL prizes. No age group awards or winners. If you don't win a prize, at least you get food! After finishing your race, stop in at the registration tent to see if you won.
Food and drink: With your super cheap entry, after you run we provide dinner! We have amazing sponsors who provide you with food and a beer (if 21+) or drink.
Food from last year included Fred's General Stores' epic salads, Chick-fil-a sandwiches, Beech Mountain Club's sandwiches and wraps, Brick Oven's Famous Pizza!
Beer sponsors were provided by Beech Mountain's Brewery and Atlantic Ale House.
Course Options: Short Course (1-2 miles) and Long Course (3 - 4 miles) are both provided and well marked on the night of the race. You are allowed to change which course you are running, just let us know! This is your race!
Dog friendly: Bring your furry friend to motivate you though the run, or to get them out of the house. We just ask you put them on a leash.

8pm – Clear Course
